"DO GOOD, FEEL GOOD" TO HELP OUT OUR COMMUNITY

In honor of our new dealership in Sandy. Mark Miller Subaru is finding new ways to give back to our local community.

Mark Miller Subaru South Towne has partnered with eight local small non-profits to give back to the community. During the month of May, for our "DO GOOD FEEL GOOD" event, Mark Miller Subaru will be donating $100 per car sold to local small non-profits. Come down to Mark Miller Subaru South Towne and select your favorite local nonprofit when you purchase any new or pre-owned vehicle.

In addition, we will be offering special pricing when you mention the "DO GOOD, FEEL GOOD" event. Feel good knowing you are purchasing a car from a dealership that has the local community in mind.

This will be a huge fundraiser for our local nonprofits during these tough economic times.

Mark Miller Subaru and Subaru of America, Inc. recognize the pet homelessness problem and want to help raise awareness for the issue and increase adoptions. As part of our "Do Good - Feel Good - Event" on Saturday May 8th 2010 from 12 - 5pm we will be hosting a Humane Society of Utah pet adoption day for our friends, customers, and potential adopters. It will be held at Mark Miller Subaru South Towne (10920 S State Street).

The Utah Food Bank has been in operation in the local community for 105 years and has a rich history of providing services to Utahns in need. You can now drop off any donations right here at Mark Miller Subaru South Towne.

Holiday Food Drive
October 15 - January 15

Beginning November 1, Utah Food Bank is on a mission to collect 1.5 million pounds of food and 28,000 turkeys for distribution to its agencies and pantries across the state.

Times still may be tough for the country's automobile industry as it battles through the economic downturn but one Utah dealer is looking toward the bright side and expanding his operations rather than retrenching.

Mark Miller, perhaps best known for the Toyota dealership in downtown Salt Lake City bearing his name, has purchased the Larry H. Miller Subaru dealership in Sandy. The acquisition brings to four the number of locations operated under the Mark Miller name.

"Although we already have a Subaru store [in South Salt Lake], we plan to operate our new Sandy dealership as a completely separate operation with its own general manager, sales and service staffs," Miller said.

After months of roller coaster-like results, the industry in the view of many earlier this month began to show signs of a recovery, with automakers reporting higher levels of U.S. sales.

And the biggest winner was the Japanese automaker Subaru, which saw a 41 percent surge in sales during the month, thanks to exceptionally strong demand for its Outback and Forester models.

"Subaru is the number two-selling car in the Salt Lake City market," Miller said, indicating his South Salt Lake Subaru store is on track for a normal sales year despite the industry's hard times.
