Pairing Your Phone and Syncing Options

iPhone Pairing

The following steps are needed to help you pair your Apple device:

  1. The first step to connecting your iPhone to your Subaru vehicle around West Jordan, UT, is to double-check that Bluetooth is activated on your phone. Head into your settings app and navigate to the Bluetooth option. From there, either confirm that Bluetooth is activated or turn it on if it isn't.
  2. Next, from your Subaru's infotainment, click the "Phone" app. Your system will then ask if you wish to add a phone. Click "Yes." Once you do so, it will begin to pair your phone.
  3. From your phone, you will see the name Subaru show up in your paired devices list. Click this option, and then you will see a PIN number appear on both your phone and on the Subaru system. If these numbers appear to be the same, you can click on "Pair" on your phone. Now, your device should be paired via Bluetooth to your Subaru.
  4. From there, your Subaru will ask if you wish to sync your contacts. If you wish to do so, click "Yes."
  5. Now your iPhone is officially paired with your Subaru's infotainment system.

Android Pairing

Pairing your Android phone to your Subaru vehicle is very similar to how it works with Apple devices.

  1. The first step to pairing your Android phone is to make sure Bluetooth is activated on your phone. Head to your settings and navigate to your Bluetooth or connections settings. Bluetooth should be turned to "On." If it isn't, then please activate it.
  2. Next up, you will want to click on the "Phone" app on your Subaru's infotainment system. If there is no device connected, the system will ask if you want to connect a device. Click "Yes," and your system will begin to pair with your phone.
  3. On your phone's Bluetooth screen, you will next see your Subaru appear under the "Available devices" section. Once again, after you click on your Subaru vehicle, there will be a PIN number. If that number matches the PIN number on the infotainment system, then you can click "OK" on your phone.
  4. Next, you will be prompted to "Download" your contacts. If you wish to do so, go ahead and click "Download."
  5. Now, your Android phone is officially connected to your Subaru's infotainment system via Bluetooth.
