December 20, 2022 – Salt Lake City, UT – Be merry and green this holiday season with Mark Miller Subaru by recycling your wrapping paper waste and helping keep it out of our landfills.
Mark Miller Subaru is helping our customers and community properly dispose of Christmas wrapping paper and supplies through Terracycle, a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle materials. Items being accepted include any type of wrapping paper, ribbon, bows, tissue paper or party supplies such as garlands and confetti. Simply drop off your used materials at either Mark Miller Subaru Midtown (3535 S State St) or South Towne (10920 S State St) location from December 26-31, 2022, and Mark Miller Subaru will take care of the rest. Collection bins will be located at the front desk at both retail stores.
As part of the Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, Mark Miller Subaru works to be a good environmental steward, and encourages others to act green. The best thing we can do is work toward reducing this waste altogether by using reusable gift boxes, fabric bags, baskets, or wrapping gifts with other recyclables papers like newspaper or grocery bags.
Salt Lake County publishes an annual Holiday Recycling Guide to help residents determine what can go into their blue receptacles, what can be recycled at special recycling centers, and things you need to just throw in the trash can. Traditional wrapping paper, bows and ribbons are on the naughty list, so make sure you save this waste and drop them off at Mark Miller Subaru. You must separate these items from other materials like plastics and cardboard boxes before dropping them off at Mark Miller Subaru stores. If in doubt, refer to the Salt Lake County Holiday Recycling Guide.
