  • The Outback offers a higher estimated fuel economy than the Wrangler does. The Outback achieves up to 25 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway. The Wrangler, however, achieves up to 17 mpg in the city and 21 mpg on the highway when equipped with the standard engine and up to 23 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway when you upgrade engines.

  • Every new Outback model comes equipped with a standard Starlink multimedia system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Wrangler does offer an available Uconnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, but only as available options.
  • If you're looking for safety, the Outback has you covered with a standard Eyesight Driver Assist Technology system, featuring pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, along with many other available safety features. The Wrangler doesn't offer any comparable safety features except available blind-spot sensors.

  • The Outback is more spacious than the new Wrangler is, offering 108.1 cubic feet of passenger volume and up to 73.3 cubic feet of cargo space when the rear seats are lowered. The Wrangler offers 104 cubic feet of passenger volume and up to 70.6 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats lowered.
  • The Outback is easier to maneuver thanks to a 36.1 foot turning diameter, compared to the 40.8 foot turning diameter of the new Wrangler.
